Important privacy note

Please do not send Social Security numbers, complete payment-card information, bank credentials or other highly sensitive information through a general website form or ordinary email. If a program requires sensitive financial or identity information, Oreion or the applicable provider will supply an appropriate process.

Scope and who we are

This Privacy Statement explains how Oreion Motors (“Oreion,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles personal information when you use oreionmotors.com, submit a contact or product-interest form, communicate by phone or email, seek parts or service support, apply to become a dealer or distributor, or discuss fleet, supplier, engineering, manufacturing, defense, government or other business programs with us.

Separate portals, financing applications, payment pages, dealer systems, FileMaker-based services and third-party websites may have additional notices or terms presented by the organization operating that service. This statement does not replace those separate notices.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Oreion. It may include the following categories:

Contact and identity

Name, email, telephone number, mailing address, preferred language and other contact details you provide.

Business and dealer

Company name, title, territory, facility, business history, licenses, resale interests, market information and qualifications.

Vehicle and service

Vehicle model, VIN when provided, parts or warranty needs, purchase interest, service history, messages, photographs and supporting files.

Program information

Technical requirements, project scope, specifications, production needs, supplier capabilities, government or fleet program details.

Portal and transaction

Account identifiers, authentication events, order details, transaction status and records associated with parts, dealer or other services.

Device and usage

IP address, browser, device, approximate location, pages viewed, links used, referring source and other website activity.

Sources of information

We collect information directly from you; automatically from your browser or device; from dealers, distributors, service providers or business partners involved in your request; and from lawful public or commercial sources when evaluating a business relationship or preventing fraud.

Payments and credit

Payment-card, financing, floorplan and credit information may be collected directly by payment processors, lenders or financial-service providers. Oreion may receive transaction confirmations, status information and limited billing details. Those providers process information under their own privacy and security terms.

  • Respond to questions and provide vehicle, parts, service, pricing, availability or warranty information.
  • Evaluate dealer, distributor, supplier, fleet, manufacturing, engineering and partnership opportunities.
  • Process or support orders, payments, shipping, service, portal access and customer records.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our websites, systems, products and business processes.
  • Personalize communications and measure website, campaign and market performance.
  • Send product news, program updates or marketing where permitted, with available opt-out choices.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents and other unlawful activity.
  • Comply with contracts, recordkeeping duties, legal process and government requirements.

Where a law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on your consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with law, or Oreion’s legitimate interests in operating, securing and developing its business without overriding your rights.

You can restrict cookies through browser settings, although some site features may not function properly. Where required, Oreion will honor legally recognized browser-based opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device sending the signal.

Oreion may disclose information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this statement, including to:

  • Service providers: website hosting, security, analytics, communications, customer management, IT, document storage, professional services and other operational support.
  • Transaction providers: payment processors, lenders, floorplan providers, shipping companies and logistics services.
  • Dealers and distributors: when routing a sales, service, territory or product inquiry to an appropriate authorized organization.
  • Manufacturing and program partners: when necessary to evaluate or carry out a supplier, engineering, production, fleet, government or specialty-vehicle program.
  • Professional advisers: attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers and consultants subject to appropriate obligations.
  • Government and legal recipients: when required by law, legal process, public-safety needs, fraud prevention or protection of rights and property.
  • Business transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets or similar corporate event, subject to applicable law.

We expect service providers to use personal information for the services they perform and to protect it consistent with their responsibilities.

Sale and targeted advertising

Oreion does not sell personal information for monetary payment. Some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing” or “targeted advertising” broadly enough to include certain analytics or advertising technologies. To the extent those laws apply to Oreion and the technologies in use, you may submit an opt-out request using the contact information below, and legally recognized opt-out signals will be handled as required.

Oreion does not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 for targeted advertising.

Section 07

How long information is retained

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including customer and warranty support, dealer or program evaluation, transaction records, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security and legal requirements. Retention periods vary by record type and relationship. Information that is no longer required may be deleted, de-identified or securely disposed of, subject to technical and legal limitations.

Data security

Oreion uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure or alteration. Access is intended to be limited to people and providers with a business need.

No website, email, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use care when sending information online, and contact us promptly if you believe an interaction with Oreion or an Oreion account has been compromised.

Section 09

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, portability, or an opt-out from certain sales, sharing or targeted advertising. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

  • Marketing: use the unsubscribe method in an email or contact us. Transactional or service messages may continue.

  • Verification: we may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity, authority and the records involved before completing a request.
  • Authorized agents: where permitted, an authorized agent may submit a request, subject to verification and proof of authority.

Oreion will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Legal exceptions may apply, and some information may be retained when required or permitted by law.

International visitors and transfers

Oreion operates from the United States and works with customers, dealers, distributors, suppliers and program partners internationally. Information may be processed in the United States or another country where Oreion or its providers operate. Privacy laws and protections can differ by location. Where required, Oreion will use an appropriate legal basis or transfer mechanism.

Section 11

Children’s privacy

Oreion’s website and business services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Section 12

Third-party websites and services

The site may link to dealers, distributors, social networks, payment providers, maps, parts or dealer portals and other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this statement. Review those notices before providing information. Website forms may also be protected by reCAPTCHA, which is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Changes to this statement

We may update this Privacy Statement as technology, services or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through another reasonable method when required.
